Mule Head
Andries Botha
2012
20 Stellenbosch
“Mule Head” uses the image of the mule as a symbol for burdened, working bodies and the complex power relations that shape their lives. The severed or isolated animal head evokes sacrifice and exploitation, suggesting how certain people or groups are reduced to mere “beasts of burden” within political and economic systems.
