Lyndi Sales

South African artist Lyndi Sales was born in Johannesburg in 1973 and is based in Cape Town. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (1995) and Master of Fine Arts (2000) from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town. Sales’ work explores the boundaries of human perception, drawing inspiration from quantum physics and spiritual philosophy. Her practice uses techniques such as drawing, embroidery, and laser cutting. Sales represented South Africa at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011 and her work is included in important international collections such as the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and the New York Public Library.
