David Jones

David Jones obtained diplomas in Fine Art and a master’s degree in Technology at the Port Elizabeth Technikon. He also completed various marketing certificates at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and at the Boston House College. David has worked at a foundry and as a marketing manager, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Sculpture and the Head of the Department of Studio Arts in the School of Music, Art and Design at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. His sculptures and drawings have been exhibited widely and his work is represented in many private collections in South Africa and abroad. He is involved in various community-based projects and committees.

David Jones behaal diplomas in Skone Kunste en ’n meestersgraad in Tegnologie aan die Port Elizabethse Technikon. Vervolgens bekom hy bemarkingsertifikate aan die Universiteit van Kaapstad se Bestuurskool en die Boston House-kollege. Hy was werksaam by ’n gietery en as ’n bemarkingsbestuurder, en is tans ’n Senior Lektor in Beeldhoukuns en die Hoof van die Departement Ateljeekuns by die Skool vir Musiek, Kuns en Ontwerp aan die Nelson Mandela Metropolitaanse Universiteit. Jones se beeldhouwerk en tekeninge word oraloor uitgestal en is in talle privaatversamelings in Suid-Afrika en in die buiteland opgeneem. Hy is by verskeie gemeenskapsprojekte en -komitees betrokke.
