Lucinda Mudge’s work, All is Well, references the form of a traditional, historic ceramic vessel and the familiar blue-and-white patterning of delftware. Yet, her rendering is modern and playful, featuring patterns and visual narratives from the contemporary vernacular. This vessel speaks not with the serious tone of Japanese kintsugi, but tongue-in-cheek, like fool’s gold.
