Fallen Angel

Fallen Angel

Beezy Bailey

2012

20 Stellenbosch

“Fallen Angel” is about a spiritual being that has lost its purity or elevated status and come crashing down into the flawed, earthly world of ordinary humans. Bailey uses the angel as a symbol of broken ideals and damaged innocence, suggesting how people, institutions or beliefs that are supposed to protect and uplift us can fall, fail, or become compromised.
